the actual name of the coffee shop is BRUTOPIA. it's not for profit, community building, and hopefully will serve some fine coffee.

musings

my husband is an idea man. he has a million fabulous ideas. i can honestly say in the 12 years that we've benn married i've heard about that many. what's amazing is that he throws them out there to anyone who will listen. he, unlike me, doesn't claim them. i'm possessive. i, when hear of someone actually doing his idea (which has happened a number of times) get sort of irritated. "hey, that was YOUR idea", i say. he just snickers, shakes his head, goes on. i let it brew for a bit and THEN go on. i want HIM to have to credit for the great idea. he says that maybe he's just the idea man. the man who is given the thoughts, but is in no way able to carry them all out and he's only meant to be the vehicle not the driver. he has no care to be known. this is why he will never have a blog....much to my sadness, because i would love to read anything he has written or hear anything he has to say. i guess if he did have a blog, then his ideas would REALLY be out there! on another note, one idea he has had under his skin is finally coming to fruition...we're opening a coffeeshop with some friends! it's kind of a scary venture seeing as how we've pedaled along this far without really having real jobs....tons of time will go into our shop to make it work. thankfully, we will still be our own boss. that's a good thing. i can't see my husband actually working a 9-5. he's having a hard time wrapping his head around the business side of THIS business! SO, if you're in the clifton area on ludlow around the middle of may or beyond, look for a little shop called BREWTOPIA and stop in!
