screeching halt

life has a way of reminding you what is really important. i know for people down south this is epecially true. my cousin died this week. he was in a car wreck. he just turned 25. my heart is breaking for my aunt and uncle. i cannot fathom the amount of pain there is in losing a child. i have a friend who lost a daughter several years ago. the daughter was 19. my friend said that with every year that goes by she feels no less pain, but she doesn't cry as much. i can only imagine that it would be this way. the only comfort there is , is knowing that jesus is loving on them right now and they would not return here even if they could. that they have come into the perfect peace that we all long for and once we find it would never, ever give it up. so, even though we have to go on and our lives will never be the same, there is a bit of peace that they send to us....it's the hope and faith that our souls will be together again.

what's goin on....

the festival was a great success. elias has four chins and weighs about 16.5 lbs. he's three months. isabel hasn't taken off her dress up princess dress in about four days. cora can't wait to start school (i know, i haven't started yet...bad homeschooling mom). avery rocks on his soccer team. aidan rocks playing guitar (he and i played one song at the festival). david now has three tattoos a lip ring and an eyebrow ring AND a goatee that rivals zztops'. i am trying not to be fat AND i got my nose pierced. it draws attention AWAY from the hips.....
