nothin' much really

this week we resumed our homeschool life back at our homeschool co-op. i enjoy the break from the everyday....being at home thing. there are so many diverse people there. i don't mean ethnically....religiously, i guess you could say. it swings from your basic vineyardy type person to your basic southern baptist person. i have, however found my little niche, i think (in the nursery....). i like my friends with whom i hang out with there and our conversations. i've accidentally cussed there and talked about sex, breastfeeding, what to do when your kid bites......etc.. there are MANY different opinions, some of which i agree with, some of which i oppose. we all seem to get along anyway. the only thing i wish i could change are the simple, small prejudices that occur. they actually turn into big prejudices that affect more than just one person. young girls for example. it's the same difficulties with homeschool kids as i remember in junior high. one girl excluded from the "group". the bad thing is here the moms are involved. the moms have to watch in person and be pained for their daughter. and then you throw God into the mix and it gets WAY messier. so what do you do? do you encourage your daughter to fight for herself? to stand up? do you get GET involved? or do you sit back every week watching that pained look on your kids' face when she gets passed by. i feel for my friend who is having to go through this.

SO, my husband said he wants to figure out a way to burn our house down without being accused of arson...and go live in a room somewhere with just a few mattresses. i think he's wanting to simplify....what do you think?
