that's grace for ya

tonight two of my kids got in a knock down fight...threats of punching, kicking, hitting, biting....(OH, maybe the kicking and biting really occurred). my 5 year old daughter comes crying to me , clutching her stomach, she's obviously in the worst pain ever "Avery kicked me in the stomach AND he tried to bite me!". Avery, who has NEVER bitten ANYONE is yelling " SHE tried to punch me AND tried to bite ME!" Cora, who has been known to take a chunk out here and there...says "NO, I DIDN'T!!!" i do my best to calm her down and pacify him...when all of the sudden she turns off the tears, looks at avery and in her normal every day voice says, "okay, wanna play now?". they run off like nothing ever happened. oh to be so free with forgiveness.



p.s. these are the moments i keep locked in the vault for those days when they want to kill each other ALL day long.......
